West Valley campus has a uniform policy for Kindergarten through 5th grade. The uniform is a white or navy polo bearing the school logo or the field-trip T-shirt, worn with khaki or navy solid-color pants, shorts, skirts, or jumper; plain white and navy tops and plain khaki or navy bottoms are accepted as alternatives. Field-trip T-shirts are worn for school-sponsored activities (PE, sports, field trips, excursions), and official uniforms can be purchased through Lands' End with school number 900119140; field-trip T-shirts may be bought at the office.
Lunch may be brought from home or provided by independent third-party providers serving the West Valley campus; menus are posted in advance and dietary restrictions are accommodated as prescribed by a physician or dietary guidelines. Lunch may be warmed in school microwaves, and candy, sodas, and energy drinks are not allowed. Preschool and Pre-K have snacks provided under the Childcare Center Food Provision program.
The International School of Los Angeles is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (IRS EIN 95-3363496). It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), International Baccalaureate (IB), and the French Ministry of Education, and belongs to the CAIS, AEFE, and Mission laïque française (MLF) networks. The International School of Los Angeles (ISLA) is an independent, nonprofit international school offering a bilingual French–English education for ages 3–18. It operates four campuses: Los Feliz, Pasadena, West Valley Tarzana, and Burbank, serving 1,060 students from 51 nationalities and 36 languages. The curriculum blends preschool through 12th grade French Ministry of Education frameworks with English instruction starting in kindergarten and rising to about 40% by 5th grade. In Middle School, students choose between the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and a bilingual track; LILA is an IB World School and a candidate for MYP certification. High School offers the French Baccalaureate or the IB Diploma Programme, with most upper-level courses bilingually.
