Parent Experience

History
Kehoe-France began in 1949 as a Day Camp for boys and girls under the direction of Patricia Kehoe and Frank A. France, operating in Audubon Park. In 1958 the camp moved to the present Metairie location on Elise Avenue. The school program began in September 1962 with 42 preschool students and two teachers, and the school grew with added divisions, including two first grades in 1966 and one grade added each year until the first 8th grade graduation in 1974. On March 15, 1996, Kehoe-France expanded across Lake Pontchartrain to Covington with the purchase of River Forest Academy. Today there are over 1,100 students in Kehoe-France School and Kehoe-France Northshore.
