The school is a private bilingual Italian/English PreK-12 school located in Manhattan. It is housed in a historic early-20th‑century townhouse on the Upper East Side. Since 2020, the building houses the preschool, primary, and secondary divisions. The campus is at 12 East 96th Street. The townhouse was the residence of Robert L. and Marie Livingston, built in 1916 and designed by Ogden Codman.
Learning beyond the classroom includes project-based learning with field trips to museums, science centers, and cultural institutions. The school honors its Italian roots with annual traditions such as Carnevale festivities, volunteering initiatives, and Festa della Repubblica featuring student choir performances. Athletics are offered through a partnership with Fastbreak and include access to sports facilities; After School Care and Enrichment provides activities such as music, art, martial arts, dance, and chess. Study-abroad opportunities for Grades 10-12 welcome international students for a semester or full year with city experiences.
The Parent Association is the organization of parents or guardians of students at La Scuola d'Italia. Its objective is to collaborate with the school to improve the educational experience and promote the wellbeing of the school community. Activities include involving parents in life of the school, fundraising for projects and initiatives, supporting teachers and staff through appreciation events, providing resources and volunteering, advocacy and involvement of the Italian community in the life of the school, and creating a network of support for parents.
Located in a historic townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi provides a bilingual educational journey from preschool through high school. The school is the only institution in North America to hold "Scuola Paritaria" status, meaning it is fully accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and offers an authentic Italian curriculum. Students in the High School division, or Liceo Scientifico, can pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, graduating with dual certifications recognized by universities worldwide. Notable for its deep cultural roots, the school organizes annual traditions like Carnevale and student choir performances for Festa della Repubblica. Facilities include an art studio and science labs, with physical education held at the nearby Fastbreak sports center.
