Technology & Innovation support learning with hands-on coding and robotics; elementary students use iPads for coding, animation, and math practice. Middle School students study Technology & Innovation with AI, drones, and app development using platforms like Swift Playgrounds, Scratch, Sphero, and micro:bit. Pine Street School is an Apple Distinguished School, reflecting its tech-enabled, innovative approach. Language immersion is a core academic feature across grades: Kindergarten–5th Grade dual immersion in Spanish/English or Mandarin/English; Preschool 3s & 4s dual immersion; Ones & Twos are trilingual in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
Extended Day offers after-school care until 6:00 pm, with general care and an array of enrichment programs. Enrichment options include Coding & Robotics, Taekwondo, Music Lessons, Cooking, and Dancing, with programs run by external providers and refreshed each trimester. Co-curricular programs for upper elementary and middle school include Drama, Debate, Jr. Model UN, Math Club, and seasonal league team sports. Before-school care begins as early as 7:45 am.
Pine Street School is an International Baccalaureate World School in downtown Manhattan serving children from 1 to 14. It offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is a candidacy school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP), complemented by a Montessori-inspired preschool.
