Windermere Preparatory School is a Candidate School for the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Middle Years Programme. It is described as the only private school in Central Florida offering the IB, and delivers IB courses across six groups: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, World Language, and the Fine and Performing Arts. In Middle School, the program focuses on the “4 Cs” — communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking — with students building a reflective portfolio to track growth. The High School emphasizes the IB Diploma Programme with a broad schedule of core and elective courses within those six groups.
Windermere Prep hosts The Cypress Center for the Arts, a 535-seat facility for drama, voice, dance, and the visual arts. The performing arts program is enhanced through the Juilliard–Nord Anglia Performing Arts Program, with Juilliard mentors guiding masterclasses in acting, dance, and music on campus. The curriculum supports performing arts with on-site experiences and on-campus performances, complemented by spaces and technology such as 3D printers, robotics, coding equipment, and innovation labs. Performances and artistic activities are integrated into campus life throughout the year.
Languages taught in Middle School include Spanish, French, and Latin, with the same trio offered in High School. The language program sits within the IB framework, contributing to global learning and perspectives across divisions. Cultural engagement is supported through clubs and activities, including the National Junior Classical League (Latin). Middle School extras include Student Government, Aspire (National Junior Honor Society), Chess Club, National Junior Classical League, Flag Troop, Math Olympiad, Junior Thespians, and Art Club. The Global Games provide inter-school Olympic-style competitions hosted on the Windermere Prep campus. Sixth to Eighth Grade students participate in Disney's Youth Education Series programs at EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom, along with related cultural field trips and theatre outings.
Middle School students participate in community service at Long and Scott Farm to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank, reflecting the school's commitment to service. They also engage in Earth Day outings and other environmental initiatives as part of their learning experiences.

The Athletics program provides a broad schedule of sports, including swimming, golf, tennis, volleyball, softball, soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, and track.
