Introduction

Admissions

1. Complete the TIS Application Form and Checklist. Applications must be submitted in English via the online system OpenApply by the parent/guardian. Each application requires accurate data, supporting documentation, and a non-refundable application fee of $100 USD per application. Required uploads include a current photo of the applicant, a copy of the applicant's passport ID page, copies of each parent's passport ID page, a confidential teacher questionnaire, the past three years of school reports (starting from Grade 3), a parent questionnaire for Early Learning Center or Elementary, and the student transcript for Grade 10-12; all documents must be in English or translated. If a student has special learning needs, additional information may be requested. 2. Application Review. The main teaching language is English, with English Language Learning (ELL) support from Grades 1–8; fluent English is required for high school applicants (Grades 9–12). Applications are evaluated on academic standing, potential learning support needs, possible language support (ELL), and behavior. Admission priority follows categories: Category 1 – continuing students with families in good financial standing and intent to return; Category 2 – dependent children of founding member organisations or embassies listed; Category 3 – dependent children of other embassies with an established presence in Tashkent; Category 4 – dependent children of expatriate staff. If a waitpool is necessary, qualified applicants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, including Host Country Nationals. Denial may occur if behavior, academics, English proficiency, or learning needs cannot be adequately supported. 3. Admissions Decision. If successful, a formal offer is sent by email from the Admissions Office. To enroll, parents complete the Enrollment Confirmation form, verify/update contact information, sign a contract covering Terms and Conditions, and provide health information and emergency contacts. The business office then invoices tuition/fees for the first term, due before the student's first day. 4. Interview, Orientation, and First Days. Parents receive a personalized interview for their child(ren) and orientations or Open Days are held before the school year begins. If a student starts mid-year, the school provides tailored orientation and buddy/ambassador support. Progress and orientation are monitored throughout the year to support the student and their family.

Scholarships

Grade 10 Host Country National (HCN) Scholarship Program provides up to three full-tuition scholarships to Uzbek nationals for admission to Grade 10, established in 1999. The selection emphasizes academic achievement, financial need, English proficiency, personal qualities, extracurricular involvement, and potential for a mutually beneficial relationship with the school. Scholarships cover full tuition and mandatory fees for up to six semesters or until graduation, plus a computer loan and access to qualified learning programs and some university application/testing fees, subject to funds. Scholarships do not cover room and board, transportation, meals, or extra equipment. Eligibility includes Uzbek citizenship, birth between 2008-2010, nine consecutive years of non-fee-paying public schooling in Uzbekistan, completion of the equivalent of Grade 9/10 or first year of college by June 2025, meeting Grade 10 admission criteria, demonstrated financial need, and ability to attend testing/interviews in person. Renewal is semesterly and based on academic performance, conduct, financial need, and activity involvement; the program may change without notice. Application materials include passport photo, copies of passport, transcripts for past 9 years, resume, financial need statement, and other documents; selection rounds include screening, testing, math/writing exercises, group exercises, interviews, and document verification.
