The Ho Chi Minh City Preschool–Elementary Campus (K–5) is located at 501 Lac Long Quan Street, Hoa Binh Ward, Dist 11. The campus offers a boarding program with dormitories located within five minutes' walking distance from the campus. Dorms include lounges and kitchens for student use, and dorm life provides round-the-clock security, meals, tutoring support, a Big Brother/Big Sister program, and housekeeping services. The campus also supports extensive after-school and weekend activities. The Elementary School day runs 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with after-school activities from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
On-site sports facilities include a swimming pool and a football stadium.
The Elementary program uses a play-based curriculum designed to develop creativity and analytical thinking. English is the official language and the environment is 100% English-speaking. The English Language Development (ELD) program provides seven levels to improve listening, reading, speaking, and writing as part of APU's American academic programs.
Elementary students have after-school activities from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. There is an extensive after-school and weekend activities program for boarding students.
APU’s Preschool & Elementary campus in District 11 delivers an American curriculum with instruction in English and dedicated English Language Development (ELD) support. Learning in the early years emphasizes play-based approaches alongside structured programs such as Jolly Phonics, Go Math, Interactive Science, and leveled readers. Beyond classrooms, younger students can join the STEM-Robotics Club and take part in music activities and International Arts Week. Families across the city can use APU’s Shuttle Bus service, which operates pick-up and drop-off in every district with electronic student cards for safety and punctuality. APU also offers a boarding (dormitory) option close to campus for families who need it. The school’s pathway is aligned with U.S. education, and APU publishes information about AP and College Bridge opportunities as students progress through later grades.
