Languages offered include English and Vietnamese. English is the main language of instruction across all programs, with Vietnamese taught through mandatory MOET subjects and integrated VAL in the Ontario Optimized Program. EAL (English as an Additional Language) is available across all grades to support language development. The MOET program leads to the Vietnamese High School Diploma, while the school also offers the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) via the Lynn-Rose School partnership, including the Dual Diploma pathway (OSSD + MOET).
The school maintains a bilingual environment where English and Vietnamese are integrated from kindergarten through primary. English is the core language of instruction across all programs, including the Ontario Optimized Program (OOP) and Ontario Integrated Program (OIP). Vietnamese language is taught through the MOET pathway, and learners have access to Vietnamese language support through Vietnamese as an Additional Language (VAL) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs. The school emphasizes bilingual fluency and global readiness.
Kindergarten and Primary are immersed in a bilingual environment, with English and Vietnamese woven into all areas of learning. From Primary onward, English is the main language for thinking, learning and communicating across subjects, with deeper English immersion available in pathways like the Ontario Optimized Program, which is fully English-immersed in Primary. The MOET pathway provides Vietnamese language instruction with half-day Vietnamese subjects. VAL and EAL programs offer targeted language support across all programs to assist language development.
Hanoi Toronto School (HTS) in Hanoi’s Cầu Giấy district offers children ages 4–18 a bilingual Canadian–Vietnamese education combining the Ontario curriculum with Vietnamese MOET standards. Students follow either a fully Cambridge Ontario-based program or a dual-diploma pathway, earning the Canadian Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) — and in the dual track, also the Vietnamese High School Diploma. The campus features STEAM labs, makerspaces, indoor sports areas, rooftop gardens, and specialized arts and technology rooms, supporting hands-on learning in science, technology, art and more. Students can explore interests through clubs such as Coding & Robotics, Culinary Arts, Drama and Chess. Classes are delivered primarily in English, with Vietnamese bilingual support, enabling students to develop strong English fluency while staying connected to Vietnamese language and culture. A school-bus service is available to support commuting families. HTS aims to prepare students for global opportunities while grounding learning in a bilingual, multicultural context.
