ISPH began in 2016 when co-founders Datuk Seri Yaw Chee Siew and Pham Duc Trung Kien launched plans to establish a top international school in Hanoi. The curriculum combines the British National Curriculum with international programmes such as the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge IGCSE, and A-Level, led by UK-trained teachers and with a founding Principal from ISPKL. ISPH opened in August 2019 as the first sister school of The International School @ ParkCity Kuala Lumpur, developed in partnership with ParkCity Hanoi. It started with around 70 students in the Early Years and Year 8 and has since grown to more than 300 students reaching Year 13, with the first A-Level cohort graduating in 2025. An official alliance with Nguyen Hue High School and an eight-member Council of Advisors drawn from Vietnamese academia support the school, alongside investments in facilities for sports, performing arts, and science.
ISPH emphasizes a strong sense of community, welcoming involvement from parents, visitors, and local partners to enrich school life. The Friends of ISPH (FOI) is a parent-led organization within the ISPH community that plans and leads community events and represents families. Since 2019, ISPH has hosted events such as ISPH Community Day, which included parent workshops and collaboration with the Hanoi Association of Women Entrepreneurs (HNEW). Signature community events include the Culture Carnival 2025, a celebration of world cultures, and other activities that bring families onto campus and engage the wider ParkCity Hanoi community.
Friends of ISPH (FOI) is a parent-led organization within the ISPH community that coordinates parent involvement and helps plan community events in collaboration with the School Leadership Team. It is open to all parents, and Parent Representatives serve as liaisons between families and teachers across year groups. FOI meetings have introduced a cross-school Parent Choir project with ISPKL and outlined a calendar of annual events, including Sports Day, Online Discovery Day, and the IGCSE/A Level Celebration Evening, as well as the Cultural Carnival and the School Musical School of Rock. The group also manages volunteer opportunities and provides channels for communications and input from families, with information about events published on the parent website. These activities strengthen home–school collaboration and foster a sense of belonging among ISPH families and staff.

Opened in 2019, ISPH grew from around 70 students to over 300, and its first A-Level cohort graduated in 2025. The campus includes a spacious library, a heated indoor pool, a gym, basketball and tennis courts, an astro turf stadium, specialist suites for Science, Music and Drama, IT & Technology, and Creative Arts, a medical centre and CCAs.
