Japanese International School (JIS) in Hanoi was founded in 2016 and offers education from kindergarten to grade 12 following a blend of the Japanese education model and the Cambridge International Programme. JIS provides pathways through Japanese Curriculum, IEYC, Cambridge IGCSE, and AS/A Level, with detailed tuition information published annually. A distinctive feature of the school is its 2,000 m² rooftop vegetable garden, used daily as a green learning space. Students can also use extensive physical education facilities, join after-school clubs such as basketball, football, dance, piano, karate and swimming, and, from age six, choose boarding on campus. In 2024, JIS ranked among the top two high schools in Hanoi for average foreign-language scores in the national graduation exam.
