Vietnam Australia International School was established in 2004 by Khôi Nguyên Education Group, a private education provider in Ho Chi Minh City. The Sunrise Campus was founded in 2014 as part of the school’s expansion to serve families in District 7 and surrounding areas. The campus operates within Vietnam’s private education framework and is managed under the same ownership as the wider VAS system. Since its opening, Sunrise Campus has functioned as a day school offering an integrated international and Vietnamese education pathway. It is one of several campuses developed by the group to meet growing demand for bilingual and international programmes in the city.
The Sunrise Campus community takes part in a range of school-wide events held throughout the academic year. These include opening ceremonies at the start of the school year, which bring together students, families, and staff, as well as campus open house events that allow parents to visit the school and learn more about its programmes. Students also participate in arts and performance activities, such as talent showcases organised within the VAS system, where they present music, drama, or other creative work. In addition, the school recognises student participation in academic competitions and achievement celebrations, which are shared with families as part of the school’s community life.
The official Vietnam Australia International School website does not disclose specific information regarding a Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
