English as an Additional Language (EAL) uses an EAL/D curriculum created by the Australian Department of Education, based on the Western Australian Curriculum, designed to incrementally build English proficiency and support returning to mainstream classes, with EAL/D learners receiving time, modelling and scaffolding of language learning across the curriculum, extra processing time, and explicit vocabulary and language structures.
The School Clinic provides mental wellbeing support through professionally qualified nurses and school counselors, offering routine health care, health check-ups, vaccinations, and comprehensive counseling; individual counseling and Personal Education cover social-emotional learning and mental health awareness, with staff collaboration and family involvement.
Safeguarding and child protection are addressed through the WASS Code of Conduct, which establishes a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment and prohibits harassment, bullying, or intimidation, applying to all students across all activities and guiding behavior and technology use.
