Boarding fees and related charges
- Annual full boarding: USD 6,350.

- Flexi‑boarding: USD 41 per night. Airport collection service: USD 37 per collection. All boarding fees must be paid prior to the student checking into boarding facilities. One term's notice is required to withdraw from boarding.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Invoicing: Fees are invoiced either termly or annually for parents who choose to pay for the full year. Payments are due before the start of each term. Term split: 45% in Term 1, 40% in Term 2, 15% in Term 3. Payment plans are available subject to approval.
- Discounts: 5% discount for full annual fees paid in advance on or before 1 August. 2% discount on each term's fees if paid in advance by the specified date for that term. A 2.5% discount applies for the third and subsequent children.
- Late payment and administration charges: Fees received after the start of term attract an administration charge; unpaid balances may incur an administration/processing fee (policy example: 6% per term or part thereof on unpaid balances). Students may be denied entry if fees are not paid or a signed payment plan is not in place.
Other costs and incidental charges
- Examination fees (Cambridge/IGCSE/AS/A‑level) are not included in tuition and are charged in addition. Texts, examination fees, ICDL fees (where applicable), school trips and extracurricular activities are additional and are invoiced separately. Uniforms must be paid in full at collection and may not be placed on account.
- Airport collection, flexi‑boarding nightly charges and any specific course charges (e.g., IGCSE/AS/A‑level course charges where listed) are additional as stated above.
Refund information
- The refundable deposit (USD 1,500) is refundable after the child leaves provided the required written notice (minimum 90 days), return of books and equipment in good condition, and settlement of all outstanding fees and charges. Registration, admission fees and capital contributions are non‑refundable. There is no pro‑rata refund of tuition for academic days not attended during a term except in exceptional circumstances as set out in policy.
Fee payment options
- Accepted payment methods include point‑of‑sale payments at school, bank transfer or deposit into the school bank account, and cash payments made directly into the school bank account (in line with local banking regulations). Parents must provide proof of payment; a payment is not considered received until reflected in the school bank account. Payment plans are available only by written agreement and must be approved and signed by the Finance Manager.
Administrative notes
- Tuition fees do not include examination fees. All fees are due prior to the start of term; failure to pay may result in exclusion from school activities and the withholding of reports, testimonials and examination entries. The school's board reserves the right to vary fees at its discretion.
Baobab College is a coeducational day and boarding school in Lusaka, Zambia, offering British curriculum qualifications from early years to A levels. The school follows Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE programmes, with students aged 2 to 18 supported through a three-stage Senior School that leads to university admission worldwide.
