Baobab has a Parents and Teachers Committee (PTC) that promotes fellowship and community through social and fundraising activities. The PTC funds specific school projects such as interactive whiteboards, shading for sports fields, water fountains, and play areas. It also organizes events, including the Friday Market, and invites parents to volunteer.
Baobab uses a house system with Eagle, Falcon, and Hawk. House activities are compulsory on Monday afternoons and students compete in Swimming Gala, Cross-Country, and Sports Day, with the winning house awarded the cup at year end. Senior College programs include two weekly tutorials, with one focusing on careers via university presentations and the other covering personal, social, health and citizenship topics including leadership skills and time management.
Our afternoon activities promote physical and mental health and provide creative outlets. Term-based sports run across the ISAZ and LISL calendars, with swimming, basketball, cricket, and volleyball in Term One, football and netball in Term Two, and hockey, rugby and athletics in Term Three. The program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and well-being as part of a balanced student life.
