More than 30 clubs, societies and music opportunities are available. Academic and intellectual activities include Model United Nations, Maths Olympiad, Lego Robotics, Public Speaking, Debate and Quiz Club. Model United Nations runs weekly meetings and participates in interschool and international conferences, while Maths Olympiad introduces pupils to the International Mathematics Olympiad with problems spanning geometry, number theory and algebra. Lego Robotics builds and programs LEGO robots for competition in the First Lego League, and Public Speaking and Debate develop research, argumentation and presentation skills.
Art Club fosters creativity in a relaxed environment. Drama and School Play develop expression through visual media, painting, drawing, sculpture and new media. The Music Clubs include six choirs, Jazz Band, Guitar (Beginners), Orchestra, Wind Band, Marimba Band and String Orchestra with regular rehearsals.
Interact Society promotes international understanding and cultural diversity through service, fundraising and community engagement. It aligns with Rotary International and supports a range of charities. Model United Nations provides an academic simulation of the United Nations, with weekly meetings and participation in interschool and international conferences.
Social and hobby-focused activities include Cookery, Textiles, Chess, Book Club, Debate, Public Speaking, Quiz Club, Toastmasters and the Events Club. The Events Club trains Sixth Form students in etiquette, hosting skills and barista/mixology for school functions. Social Soccer (Boys) runs on Wednesdays, and Chess and Book Club offer regular interschool interactions.
Interact Society embodies service with the motto: Service above Self. It enables sixth form students to serve and make a difference in communities through fundraising and hands-on projects. Local and international charities supported include Kidzcan, Island Hospice, Miracle Missions and Zimbabwe Albino Association.
Interact Society develops leadership through service activities. The Business Club gives pupils a chance to test entrepreneurship and marketing through charity stalls. Toastmasters provides opportunities to practice public speaking, while Model United Nations develops policy and diplomatic skills.
Sport is central to life at Hellenic Academy, with inter-house and inter-school competitions. The school offers cricket, golf, hockey, rugby, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis, triathlon and water polo with elite facilities and coaching, and water polo is the largest water polo-playing school in Zimbabwe. Cricket features four fields, eight nets and floodlit matches; players have represented Zimbabwe at age-group levels. Swimming uses a FINA-accredited 25m x 30m heated pool, with national and provincial success.
Hellenic Academy is an independent, co-educational day school in Zimbabwe offering Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels, plus Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. The Cambridge Examinations framework guides the curriculum, with preparation for IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations, delivered in small classes for individual attention. From Form One, Greek, French and Shona are taught, with Greek and French continuing to IGCSE and French to AS or A2 levels. Music is offered from Form One to Upper Six with Cambridge Examinations at IGCSE, AS and A Level. The campus features a 400m track, a FINA-accredited pool complex with three pools, cricket facilities, golf training at Royal Harare Golf Club, and rugby, tennis and swimming facilities. The school integrates Greek heritage into daily life, observes Orthodox tradition, and runs more than 30 clubs, including MUN, Maths Olympiad, Lego Robotics, and Interact Society. Inter-house competitions promote sport and teamwork.
