Uniform Requirement

Uniform consists of a regulation brown blazer for all students. Girls wear a regulation knee-length kilt (or regulation trousers) with a regulation cream blouse and tie; boys wear regulation grey trousers with a cream shirt and tie. Summer options include a blue summer shirt for both genders and a summer dress or shorts for girls; footwear is black polished leather lace-up shoes and a regulation school bag is required; hats and hair accessories are regulated; sports uniforms include a gold polo top with navy shorts and related items for girls' and boys' teams.

Food Options

The Canteen is operated by Chartwell's and is open at recess and lunch; lunch orders can be placed online via Flexischools or dropped into the canteen before 8:50am. Food selections are regularly updated with salads in summer and soups/pasta in winter; vegetarian meals are available upon request.

House System

Year 7–8 students are supported by a Homeroom teacher, while Year 9–12 students belong to a House and have a House mentor group. The House system comprises fifteen Houses: Beckworth, Butler, Cuthbert, Dart, Hayhoe, Krome, Larritt, Macpherson, Manifold, Nevett, Queen's, Robin, Smith, Wigan and Woodbridge. All students are connected to a House and the Pastoral Care framework uses House mentors and homeroom staff to provide wellbeing support; the House Cup recognises achievement across sport, service, public speaking, debating and the arts.

Curriculum

The Senior School tailors learning through multiple VCE pathways and offers the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major as an alternative pathway. VET options can be taken in Year 10–12 as part of a VCE pathway, VCE VM pathway or School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship, including VET Ag Studies, VET Sport & Recreation, VCE VET Music Industry (Performance) and VCE VET Music Industry (Sound Production). Teacher Assistants are used for extra support in classes where students have special needs. International Students join local students on campus and receive dedicated pastoral support and after-hours ESL classes with specialist teaching staff. The Health Centre provides medical support during school hours and extends to support students' social, mental and emotional health. Billing schedule and payment terms

- Tuition fees are invoiced in advance in November for the following school year. Families must choose either: (1) Annual Payment — in full by 29 November (attracts a 3% early payment discount), or (2) Monthly Payment — ten (10) equal payments on the 15th of each month from November to August.
- Boarding fees are billed at the commencement of the school year and must be paid either in full by 15 February or by monthly payments (10 instalments) from February to November.
- Late payment administrative charge: AUD 250 will be charged where a family fails to make a valid payment by the chosen plan due date; the charge will recur each month the debt remains unpaid. The College may restrict participation in co-curricular activities or refuse term re-entry where fees are outstanding.
- One full school term's written notice to the Principal is required to cancel or withdraw a student. If the required notice is not given, a fee of one full term's tuition fees will be charged in lieu of notice. For students absent due to illness there is no reduction in fees. Holding or deferment deposits may be required for extended absences or deferred enrolments and are non-refundable or non-transferable in specified circumstances.

Refunds and cancellation terms

- Domestic enrolments: One full school term's written notice to the Principal is required before cancellation or withdrawal. If this notice is not given, a fee equal to one full term's tuition will be charged. Holding deposits for extended absences or deferred enrolments are non-refundable or non-transferable if the student does not return. There is no fee reduction for absence due to illness.
- International students: Refund provisions apply when a student does not start the course on the agreed date or withdraws before course commencement; Genazzano will refund payments (other than the application fee AUD 500 and confirmation fee AUD 1,500) if a student does not successfully gain a visa. Where fees have been paid and enrolment is cancelled more than one term prior to commencement, fees paid will be refunded except for the application and confirmation fees. One full term's written notice is required for withdrawal or the equivalent fee will be charged; boarding fees may also apply. International enrolment deposit details and refund timing (e.g., refundable AUD 3,500 with refund processed within 90 days of written request) are published.

Genazzano operates a boarding program named Hopetoun Hall Boarding House, accepting students from Year 7 upwards. The Learning Diversity Team works with parents/guardians, teachers, Team Leaders, the Performance Psychology Department, career adviser, College nurse and community support agencies to support each student's potential, pathways for future learning, inclusivity, differentiation and a positive approach to learning. Mental Wellbeing

Genazzano provides mental health support through the Performance Psychology Centre, offering confidential counselling, mental health assessment and treatment, and referrals to external health care providers. The Performance Psychology team includes registered psychologists with expertise in Educational and Developmental Psychology, and supports the educational progress of students by working with Learning Diversity. The college operates GenSTAR to promote wellbeing across the school and maintains a pastoral care system with homeroom and classroom teachers, Team Leaders, and a wellbeing-focused environment for senior students, with additional support for boarding students. Places are limited and early enrolment is recommended. The College welcomes students at Early Learning, Prep, Years 5, 7, 9 and 11; if vacancies exist, enrolment may be possible in other year levels. Step 3: Enrolment Interview. Interviews are typically conducted around two years prior to commencement, providing an opportunity to learn more about Genazzano and for the College to learn about the family. Scholarships

Genazzano FCJ College offers several scholarships. The Genazzano FCJ College Foundation Scholarship is available to a new Year 7 student and is means-tested. The Genazzano Alumnae Association Scholarship provides daughters of alumnae with 25% fee assistance from Year 7 through Year 12, commencing in 2027. Academic Scholarships recognise exceptional academic performance; Year 7 scholarships are open to new and current Year 5 students entering Year 7 in 2027, while Year 9 and Year 11 scholarships are open to new students only. - Extended leave: for absences of one term or less full fees are payable; for absences of more than one term a non-refundable Holding Fee equal to 10% of the Tuition Fee for each term absent is payable to retain the student's place. Failure to pay the Holding Fee may lead to cancellation of enrolment.
- Other refunds: optional/extra charges (camps, co-curricular activities) will be subject to the specific cancellation and refund terms advertised at the time they are offered.

Billing penalties and chargebacks
- Late payment penalties: if an account is unpaid by the due date a charge of AUD 200 will be added; if still unpaid one month later a further AUD 200 will be charged; accounts may be referred to a collection agency and any recovery costs will be added to the account.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications for 2027 entry are closed; applications for 2028 entry will open at the end of 2026. The school teaches English As An Additional Language as an English subject option in the VCE and IB programs. Step 1: Apply. For ELC applications, complete the ELC online application. Step 3: Offer. A formal letter of offer will be sent via email if a place is available for the specified intake year. PLC commences offering places according to the timings below: Prep – three years prior to the planned commencement year; Year 5 and Year 7 – two to three years prior to the planned commencement year; Years 9 to 11 – 18 months prior to the planned commencement year. Offers are made at non-intake years as places become available. If you submit an application for a non-intake year, your daughter will automatically be added to the waiting list and the Admissions Team will contact you directly should a place become available.

Step 4: Acceptance and confirmation of enrolment. Complete the Acceptance of Place Offer by the due date outlined in the letter of offer and pay a non-refundable enrolment fee of AU$1,500.

Step 5: Holding deposit. A holding deposit is charged one year prior to commencement to confirm enrolment for Prep, Year 5 and Year 7. The holding deposit is credited back to school fees in Term 2 of the year a student commences.

Step 6: Pre-commencement meeting. In the year prior to enrolment, students entering the Junior School will be invited with their families to a meeting with a member of the Junior School Leadership Team. Students in Years 7 to 11 will be invited to an online meeting. The aim of these meetings is to understand your daughter's interests, talents and needs to support her successful transition to PLC.

Scholarships
