Admissions

1. Intake eligibility and assessment. Std 00 accepts children who are four years old before 1 July. Pre-School accepts children who are five years old before 1 July. Standard One accepts children who are six years old before 1 July. All applicants are assessed before admission to determine the appropriate placement. 2. Documents required for enrolment. The following copies must accompany the application: Unabridged Birth Certificate; Medical or immunisation card; a copy of the applicant's most recent school report; a release letter from the previous school; a copy of the passport; proof of residence if not a citizen (Residence Permit); copies of parents' IDs. The registration fee of P400 is non-refundable. The school may request additional information if needed. 3. Submit the application. Complete the application form and return it together with the required documents to Matshwane International School, P.O. Box 456, Maun, Botswana. The assessment determines the appropriate placement (Std 00, Pre-School, or Std 1) based on age and performance. 5. Offer and acceptance. If a place is offered, the parent/guardian agrees to be bound by the School's Rules, Regulations and Code of Conduct. The non-refundable registration fee of P400 is payable at the time of application, and the full Development Levy is payable before entry if a place is offered. 6. Fees and development levy. The 2026 school fees schedule shows a Primary Development Fee (from Matshwane Primary) and a College Development Fee (from external schools), in addition to the registration fee. The Development Levy is to be paid before the child enters the school. 7. Withdrawal terms. If a place is offered and accepted, a term's notice in writing is required to withdraw; failing to give notice may result in the payment of one term's school fees. 8. Final placement and start. The school records the place offered in Standard and the start date. A financial clearance from the current school may be required, and the start date is entered as the appropriate start date.
