1. Program and language of instruction. Gymnázium Duhovka offers an eight-year, day program with Czech-English Montessori instruction. The program ends with a Czech maturita, with the possibility to obtain the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. The program is designed for students finishing the fifth grade of primary school.
2. Admissions structure and scoring for the 2026/2027 school year. For 2026/2027, the school plans to admit 46 students to the eight-year program (program code 79-41-K/81), i.e., two classes (Prima A, Prima B). The admissions process comprises 40% from the school part and 60% from the state part (didactic tests in Czech language and mathematics administered by CERMAT). The principal sets unified criteria for applicants according to the school's regulations.
3. Admission dates for 2026. The state-part tests are scheduled for April 14, 2026 (first term) and April 15, 2026 (second term). The school-part components are scheduled for April 7, 2026 and April 9, 2026.
4. Required attachments to the application. Applicants must provide: (1) a report card or transcript from the fifth grade, in Czech or English; (2) proof of completion of the fifth grade (to be presented at the start of studies). The application form should be properly completed.
5. Application submission window and order of schools. Applications must be submitted between February 1 and February 20, 2026. Please ensure the same order of schools is listed on every completed application.
6. Transfers to higher grades (admission to other classes). There are occasionally places available in higher grades. The contact person for transfers to higher grades is Petr Gazdík. Tuition is 9,000 CZK per month per child, payable for four months in advance. Tuition is not prorated for mid‑year transfers.
