Billing schedule and payment terms
- A 25% deposit of the annual school fee is required as a condition of enrolment or continuation; the deposit is not refundable. An invoice is issued and must be settled before the beginning of the school year. - Parents who are required to pay school fees will be invoiced for the balance; families may submit a written request for payment by instalments in cases of financial difficulty. Failure to pay school fees in full at the end of the school year may result in the pupil being removed from the school list and not admitted to any European School for the following school year.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not applicable at European School Brussels II; there are no boarding fees. The school operates nursery, primary and secondary day provision.

Refund and cancellation policy
- The 25% enrolment deposit is explicitly non‑refundable. If school fees remain unpaid at the end of the school year (or are only partially paid), the pupil may be considered removed from the school list and will not be admitted to any of the European Schools for the following school year. Requests for partial exemptions or instalment arrangements can be submitted in writing in cases of financial difficulty.
Fee payment options accepted
- Invoices for school charges and, where applicable, school fees are required to be paid by bank transfer within the deadline specified on the invoice. Families may request payment by instalments in writing where applicable. No credit‑card payment method is specified in the school's standard instructions for payment.
Short summary (practical points for parents)
- Annual tuition (minerval) is set by category and cycle; the school requires a 25% non‑refundable deposit before the school year begins, invoices the balance and requires timely payment by bank transfer. Sibling reductions apply for successive children in the same category. Routine small charges (insurance, printing, diaries, certain specific activity fees and exam registration) are charged in addition to minerval. Non‑payment can lead to removal from the school list.

Late or returned payments may lead to suspension of access to the service. An administrative fee of EUR 15 is charged for voluntary enrolment changes.
- School bus / transport (APEEE-managed): the school bus service is managed and invoiced by the APEEE. Transport places, routes and fees are administered through APEEE enrolment; fees vary by route and subscription; APEEE publishes the transport enrolment and cost information and manages payments via MyAPEEE and bank/direct-debit methods.
- Extracurricular activities (APEEE-managed): extracurricular activities and individual music lessons are run by APEEE and incur separate fees; enrolment and cost details are published by APEEE and are invoiced through APEEE. Payment is handled via the APEEE platforms.
- Books and school supplies: book lists and required supplies are published by the school for each language section and year group; families purchase materials according to those lists (costs vary by section and year). Book lists for 2025/2026 are provided by the school per section and year group.
Refund information
- Tuition / school fees (Category III): the official rules require parents to pay the full year's fees by the scheduled instalments; the school's rules emphasise prompt payment and state that non-payment will result in removal from the school register. No general automatic refund policy for annual tuition is stated in the school's published fee information; specific refund or adjustment matters (for example in cases of late arrival, early withdrawal or special circumstances) are handled through the school's invoicing office and under the regulations of the European Schools. Contact for invoicing queries: IXL-INVOICING@eursc.eu.
- APEEE services (canteen/transport/extracurricular): the canteen regulation and price list specify administrative fees for voluntary changes (EUR 15) and note that late or returned payments can lead to suspension of access; refunds or credits for APEEE services are governed by APEEE rules (details in the relevant APEEE regulations and price lists).
Fee payment options and practical notes
- School tuition (Category III): payment by standing order from parents' bank accounts is allowed for Category III payments; parents are required to make the deposit and subsequent instalments by the published deadlines. Invoicing contact: IXL-INVOICING@eursc.eu.
- APEEE-run services (canteen, transport, extracurricular): accepted payment methods include online payment via MyAPEEE, bank transfer (IBAN/BIC provided on the canteen price list), and direct debit (mandate via APEEE finance contact). APEEE issues its own invoices for these services and membership. Example bank details shown for the canteen (APEEE): IBAN BE28 3101 5132 3120 / BIC BBRUBEBB (payee AISBL APEEE Bruxelles III – Cantine).

European School Brussels II provides multilingual, multicultural education at nursery, primary and secondary levels. The Woluwe campus has three cycles: Nursery, Primary and Secondary, and nine language sections: Dutch-speaking, English-speaking, Finnish, French-speaking, German-speaking, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Swedish. It follows the European Schools curriculum and offers the European Baccalaureate diploma. In S4-S5 and S6-S7, information booklets per language section guide options and choices for progression toward the BAC. The Evere site runs Nursery and Primary with four language sections: French-speaking, German-speaking, English-speaking and Italian.
Curriculum details
The European School Brussels III uses three cycles of secondary education: Observation (S1–S3), Pre-orientation (S4–S5), Orientation (S6–S7). A multilingual program: for the first three years, pupils follow a common curriculum with most subjects taught in the mother tongue. Starting from the first year of the secondary cycle, all students choose a second foreign language (L3); in S4 they may also choose a third foreign language (L4) as an option. Arts, music and physical education are taught with pupils from different language sections. In year 2 Latin can be chosen; in year 3 ICT is available as an option. The sixth and seventh years form the third cycle leading to the European Baccalaureate, with a compulsory core curriculum (L1, L2, Mathematics, at least one science, History and Geography, Philosophy, Physical Education, and Religion or Ethics) and a wide range of elective subjects to total 31–35 periods per week.

Admissions
Admissions
1. Eligibility request via the Enrolments Portal to access the online application form. The link to the enrolment or transfer application becomes available as from 7 January 2025 on the intranets of the European institutions and from the enrolment secretariats of the Brussels school/site corresponding to the first preference. 2. The online procedure is organized in two steps: eligibility request via the enrolments portal to access the online application form, followed by the submission of the enrolment or transfer application once access has been granted. Applications must be submitted online via the Enrolment Portal and, where applicable, attachments in PDF (see Annex V of the Enrolment Policy) within the required deadlines. 3. Language section selection and L1: A fundamental principle is that pupils are enrolled in the language section corresponding to their mother tongue/dominant language (L1) where a section exists; if no L1 section exists, pupils are enrolled in a vehicular language section and attend SWALS as L1. The Director determines L1 and changes to L1 require compelling pedagogical reasons; should a new language section be created, SWALS pupils with that language as L1 transfer automatically to the new section; L1 determination is definitive in principle. 4. Calendar, deadlines and information sessions: The calendar and enrolment procedure are published and deadlines apply for online submission; as of 7 January 2025 the enrolment link is available via intranets and enrolment secretariats. The enrolment secretariats will be closed from 21 July to 15 August 2025. 5. Information sessions and welcome tour: Individual visits or Open Days are not organised due to limited access to the Woluwe site; a welcome meeting followed by a guided tour will be arranged before the start of the new school year. For pedagogical information, refer to the School's website and the enrolment contacts listed. 6.
Admissions
1. The Brussels European Schools are primarily intended for the children of the staff of the European institutions. Pupils are admitted to Nursery in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches four years of age. Pupils are admitted to Primary Year 1 in September of the calendar year in which the child reaches six years of age. To determine the level at which the child should be enrolled, consult the Table of equivalence of teaching levels/grade groups before submitting your enrolment application.
2. Enrolment will take place online through the Enrolment Portal. The link to the Enrolment Portal is communicated at the beginning of Phase I and is not communicated outside of the Enrolment Phases. It will be available on the intranets of the European institutions and upon request to the enrolment secretariats of the Brussels schools/sites. Children already enrolled for the ongoing school year will be enrolled automatically for the following school year; No re-enrolment is necessary.
3. The Terms and Conditions of Admission apply to enrolment. The Brussels Schools are primarily intended for the children of the staff of the European institutions. Age requirements and level placement are described above.
