ASU is a private educational facility that seeks to provide an international education in an English-speaking environment. ASU is an English-language school and all lessons, except Mongolian and Modern Foreign Languages, are delivered in English. Class sizes are limited to 24 students per classroom. Grade skipping is not permitted; students are placed based on their previous school report, testing results, and age requirements. A place cannot be held without re-registration payment and the signed School Agreement; siblings may receive early admission if they meet admission requirements. No application will be considered until the completed admissions documentation is received; full disclosure on application forms is required or the place may be terminated. Attendance is contingent on fee payment; no requests for specific class placements are accepted. For families applying with children in both elementary and secondary schools, a joint decision is made by Principals. If admitted and it is determined the student cannot meet criteria, registration will be withdrawn and unused tuition reimbursed. Once admitted, the Secondary School Coordinator/Principal signs the admissions approval forms and assigns the homeroom teacher and house color. The Student Services Office informs the family within 1–3 working days and, if accepted, informs the Finance Office to generate an invoice. Student Services also informs teaching staff of new admissions. The Language Policy requires students to meet Language Proficiency Benchmarks, with ESL support provided as needed. New entrants undergo testing in English proficiency, Math and other subjects as required; non-native English speakers or bilingual students must complete a language competency test, regardless of prior exposure. Age and mid-year enrollment policies specify grade eligibility by age; joining mid-year places the student in the next grade; full semester tuition is required for mid-year admissions.
