Glasgow College offers an Official Intercultural Bilingual Education across three levels, providing real mastery of English. The program uses an intensive English language curriculum designed to support future admission to higher studies. Bilingualism includes understanding the culture of the language speakers, broadening students' knowledge of customs and holidays. The education integrates language and culture and enhances cognitive abilities such as abstract thinking and cross-linguistic communication, including reading in both languages. The college provides international English language certificates; Cambridge Examinations are administered on site, with Movers and KET for Primary; PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE in Secondary; IGCSE preparation leading to ICE Diploma; Portuguese is taught as a second language starting in Primary; and the school is affiliated with ESSARP.
Glasgow College is a bilingual, secular, co‑educational school serving ages 1 to 17. The curriculum combines Cambridge IGCSE with a bespoke program and an Official Intercultural Bilingual Education Project to develop strong English language mastery, with Cambridge English accreditations. In Primary, Movers (3rd year) and KET for Schools (5th year) are offered; Secondary includes PET (2nd year), FCE (4th year), and CAE/CPE in later years. Upper secondary leads into the IGCSE curriculum and the ICE Diploma (International Certificate of Education), a pre‑university credential with national university validity. Portuguese is taught from Primary as a second language; Secondary students undertake the CELPE‑Bras exam in the final year. Glasgow College is affiliated with ESSARP.
