History

DIS is accredited as a Cambridge International School for primary, middle and high school students. It is the primary, middle and high school section of UWCD Dilijan, serving pupils from kindergarten to Grade 10. It has over 120 pupils from 10 nationalities and 27 full- and part-time staff from 11 nationalities. DISA Foundation administers DIS as a charitable trust registered in Armenia for educational purposes, overseen by an all-volunteer Board, with governance including UWC Dilijan. It is co-located on the grounds of UWC Dilijan, which delivers the IB Diploma Programme for the final two years of high school to about 220 students from over 80 countries; DIS began as a teaching facility for the children of UWCD staff and has grown into a KG–Grade 10 school.

Dilijan International School of Armenia (DIS) is an independent, not-for-profit international boarding school located on the Dilijan campus in Armenia. The school delivers Cambridge International Primary and Middle Years (Primary and Secondary) programmes for KG to Grade 10, operating as the primary, middle and high school section of the Dilijan International School. The DIS campus shares grounds with UWC Dilijan, which delivers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for the final two years of high school to about 220 students from more than 80 countries.
