Academic and Intellectual

Education Outdoors at YJ Campus provides real-life learning beyond the classroom, with five days for Year 7 and eleven days for Year 8. The Year 9 Kakadu Program is an immersive outdoor learning experience in the Northern Territory, including Indigenous languages and arts. The Year 10 Odyssey Program offers semi-remote, multi-day adventures such as rock-climbing, cycling, bushwalking and white-water experiences. Cultural immersion and global mindedness underpin the program through domestic and international tours in Music, Sport, Theatre, language immersion and STEM, with short courses and micro-credentials in Years 11–12 (Caulfield Connection) building career skills in fields like hospitality, financial literacy, music production, podcasts, publishing and editing, customer service, cyber security and entrepreneurship.

Arts and Creative

Music includes productions, lessons, ensembles, bands, choirs and orchestras. Performing Arts encourages learning through performance and collaboration, expanding learning beyond the classroom. Visual Arts offers artist-in-residence programs, backstage opportunities for costumes, props and sets, Art and Design tours and a student-led Visual Arts Committee.

Cultural and Language

Cultural immersion and global mindedness are central, with domestic and international tours and experiences across Music, Sport, Theatre, language immersion and STEM to develop cultural awareness and global perspectives.

Social and Hobbies

Sport is compulsory for Years 5–12, with competition in APS and AGSV, house sports, camps and tours, plus opportunities in other sports such as Human Powered Racing, Fencing, Golf and Snow Sports. The House system and co-curricular programs foster community and lifelong friendships.

Community and Service

A Community Service Program instils responsibility and cultural awareness, with a Caulfield Grammar School Certificate of Excellence for 20 hours or more of service; Year 10 students are encouraged to undertake community service on Monday afternoons.

Leadership and Professional

Caulfield Grammarians' Association (CGA) supports alumni networks and leadership opportunities, including Career Industry Breakfasts, International Women's Day Breakfast, Reverse Mentoring and Subject Selection Fairs. Work Experience begins in Year 10, with some students pursuing VETiS as part of the VCE, and alumni leadership roles with Caulfield Grammar teams at various campuses.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Wellbeing is integrated through sport and recreation, with options such as yoga, pilates, indoor rock climbing, fitness classes, golf and strength and conditioning; the Caulfield Connection offers short courses and micro-credentials to expand personal interests and life skills.

Caulfield Grammar School is a multi-campus independent co-educational day school in Australia, spanning Early Learning to Year 12 with a K–12 curriculum and IB. Across Caulfield, Malvern, Wheelers Hill and Shelford campuses, learning is coordinated; from Year 7 onward, students access a program including Product Design and Technology, Systems Engineering and Year 9 Robotics. The Senior School follows the Victorian VCE with more than 40 subject choices; students complete at least 22 units, including four English units and three sequences of level 3/4 units. Acceleration options enable a three-year VCE pathway. The school was established in 1881 and has a rural Outdoor Education campus at Yarra Junction (opened 1947) and an overseas campus in Nanjing, China (opened 1998). The Shelford Campus will open in 2027. Boarding is available from Year 9 at Caulfield Campus. Facilities include a 50m pool, a 500-seat Cripps Centre theatre, and extensive arts and performing spaces.
