Bus 744 operates between Roma Street Bus Station and QASMT. Bus stops are located at Bywong Street, Market Street and Miskin Street, as well as on Orchard Street and Dean Street. Bus 470 drops students on Dean Street in the morning (8-minute walk from Dean Street to the school) and picks them up outside the school at 3:44 pm. Gate 7 on Miskin Street is the preferred drop-off/pick-up point; Bywong Street bus turn area should not be used

Application fees
- On-time application fee (Year 10 entry): AUD 270.00. Late application fee: AUD 300.00. Application fees are final and non‑refundable.

Tuition / specialised programme fees (annual and per-instalment option)
- International Baccalaureate (IB) programme fee — Middle Years & Preparatory (Years 7–9): AUD 1,062.00 per year. Payable as a single annual amount or by the school's three-instalment schedule (see Billing schedule). Per-instalment (three equal payments): AUD 354.00.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) programme fee — Diploma Programme (Years 10–12): AUD 2,658.57 per year. Per-instalment (three equal payments): AUD 886.19.

Student Resource Scheme (SRS) — annual
- School yearbook: AUD 30.00.
- Student diary: AUD 25.00.
- Reference materials and consumables (including general laboratory, design and art materials): AUD 220.00.
- Administration fee to operate SRS: AUD 10.00.
- SRS total (all year levels): AUD 285.00 per year. Per-instalment (three equal payments): AUD 95.00.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Academy fees are invoiced and emailed in January each year. Full payment is due by 28 July (payment year shown on the invoice). Alternatively fees may be paid in three instalments with the following due dates: 1st instalment 28 February; 2nd instalment 28 April; 3rd instalment 28 July. Non‑payment may lead to restriction of participation in user‑pays activities and debt recovery action. Invoices are issued to one parent/carer unless updated with StudentAccounts@qasmt.eq.edu.au.

Payment methods
- Accepted methods for academy fees: QParents, BPOINT (online/phone), BPAY, Qkr!, bank deposit/transfer (email StudentAccounts@qasmt.eq.edu.au to arrange), Centrepay, or in person at the Student Services counter (EFTPOS or cash). The academy cannot accept phone EFTPOS payments. Optional program/activity payments are accepted via Qkr!, bank deposit or in person.

Boarding / accommodation
- Boarding is not applicable: QASMT operates as a day school (no boarding facilities). For international students who require accommodation arrangements, homestay or private arrangements are used and international tuition/arrangements are managed through Education Queensland International (EQI) where relevant.

Other costs parents should expect
- Textbooks and stationery: parents purchase required textbooks and stationery; the school does not operate a textbook hire scheme. A per‑year Queensland Government Textbook and Resource Allowance (TRA) is applied to eligible domestic students and credited on the invoice: TRA for 2026 is AUD 164.00 for Years 7–10 and AUD 357.00 for Years 11–12 (ineligible for full‑fee paying international students or temporary visa holders).
- BYOD / approved laptop and specialist equipment: families supply approved laptops (BYOD requirements) and other specialist items where required. An IB‑approved calculator is commonly required (approx. AUD 200 as a guideline for IB cohorts). Uniform costs and other consumables are additional and payable by families. Optional activities (music, sports, robotics, excursions, study tours) incur separate costs charged on sign-up.

Refund information
- Application fees are final and non‑refundable in all listed circumstances (including withdrawal, unsuccessful application, incorrect application or inability to commence). Deposit amounts requested on acceptance are deducted from the annual IB programme fee when the student commences; application fees are not refundable. Other refunds (for SRS, user‑pays or optional activities) are governed by the academy's procedures and debt‑management arrangements; non‑payment consequences and debt recovery processes apply where fees remain unpaid. Notes about international students and tuition
- International (full fee‑paying) students follow admissions and fee arrangements administered through Education Queensland International (EQI). International students are not eligible for the Queensland Textbook and Resource Allowance. Remote testing for admissions (Edutest) may incur additional fees.
