The language of instruction is English. Language A includes English Language and Literature or fifty-five Languages as School Supported Self-Taught (SSST). Language Acquisition is offered in French, German, Spanish or Japanese; Latin is also available. Students study at least two languages, one of which is a Language A course, with progression mapped to CEFR levels from Year 7 to Year 12 (A1 to B2). Mother tongue support and language clubs augment classroom learning.

There are language and culture clubs such as Japanese speaking club, Spanish club and French Tarot Game club. International STEM Tours to Europe (for students studying French, German or Latin) and Japan (for students studying Japanese) include homestay and language school components. During these language tours, students enhance their language skills through host families and structured language education, and gain cultural understanding.
Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) is a public secondary school in Toowong, Brisbane. It offers International Baccalaureate through Middle Years Programme for Years 7–10 and Diploma Programme for Years 11–12, with a STEM emphasis throughout. The Year 7–8 Foundation Program provides an accelerated IB pathway mapped to the Australian Curriculum, including eight MYP subject groups with optional Language Acquisition and Arts. Years 9–10 feature the STEM Futures Program, blending core subjects with a STEM-focused sequence and a culminating STEM Futures Project. The DP includes six subjects (three SL and three HL) plus Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS. Core teaching language is English. The campus houses a STEM Precinct with robotics labs, university-standard science labs and e-learning hubs, a Languages Precinct, a 300-seat theatre, music rooms, art spaces and sport facilities. QASMT partners with the University of Queensland to support university pathways and strong tertiary offers.
