Introduction

AMADEUS International School Vienna is an IB World School offering a continuum of programmes for ages 3–18: PYP, MYP, DP and CP, with a High School Diploma option in Grades 9–12. The English-language curriculum is paired with German lessons up to Grade 10 and mother-tongue support where possible. AMADEUS Music and Arts Academy (AMAA) is integrated into the programme, delivering music, art, drama and dance within the co-curricular line-up. The six historic pavilions of the campus in Vienna's 18th district (1908–1910) house learning spaces and Pfeiffer House, a boarding facility for up to 138 students. Billing schedule and payment terms
- Annual tuition is charged per academic year and may be paid either in full in advance or on a termly basis in advance (three school terms).
- A three‑installment payment scheme may be accepted subject to a finance fee of approximately 6% (choose payment option at enrolment).
- Invoices are issued electronically and payment is due within four (4) weeks from the invoice date.
- Payments must be made in EUR only. Bank handling charges must be borne by the payer; payments are credited once acknowledged by the school accounting department.
- For mid‑year enrolment, annual fees and additional service fees are calculated pro rata by full calendar months and are payable on admittance.
- Late payments incur a surcharge of 5% per month. If payment remains overdue for more than four (4) weeks, the school may terminate the contract and disenrol the student; recovery costs are payable by the parent/guardian.

Refunds and non‑refundables
- Application Fee: non‑refundable.
- Enrolment Fee and Capital Fee: non‑refundable and non‑transferable.
- Security Deposit: refundable (without interest) after the student leaves, less any outstanding charges; the balance should be topped up annually if required.
- Boarding fees: charged as whole‑programme fees and are non‑refundable irrespective of consumption.
- If instalment payment was chosen, the obligation for outstanding school fees extends until the day of the following term and becomes due at once under the stated terms.
- Notice of withdrawal normally requires one full term's notice; school fees are charged until the termination date.
- Fees are non‑refundable in cases of serious misconduct leading to expulsion. Certain exceptional circumstances (e.g., visa complications) may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis but are not guaranteed.

Admissions

Admissions

AMADEUS International School Vienna is a day and boarding IB World School with an English-speaking environment. Applications are accepted throughout the academic year, with early application increasing the chances of accommodation. For 2025-26 admissions are still open and applications for 2026-27 have recently opened. Boarding applicants who require a residence permit should apply at least four months prior to the start date. Admissions decisions are based on a composite of age, prior academic performance, references, and an interview with the relevant Head of Section (PYP/MYP/DP). Primary School assessments are conducted by the Head of Primary School or PYP Coordinator and involve observation in core subjects and social development; Secondary School assessments include a General Admissions Test, an interview with the Head of Section, and an optional assessment day. Placement is determined by age, development, and previous performance, with siblings given priority. If there is no space in the appropriate class, applicants may be placed on the waiting list. Enrolment is completed after countersigning the school contract and confirmation of the Enrolment fee payment. An EUR 400.00 Application Fee is charged; the Application Fee is non-refundable if a place is not held.

Scholarships

AMADEUS Scholarship & Award Opportunities for 2026-2027 include: Academic Scholarships (Grades 9–12) covering tuition for outstanding academic performance; Diversity Scholarships (internal & external applicants) for students from non-represented countries, awarded for one academic year; AMADEUS Music and Arts Academy (AMAA) Scholarships for exceptional talent in music or the arts with auditions or portfolio requirements. AMADEUS Awards include AMADEUS Awards, IBCP Awards, and the Academic Excellence & Distinction Award.
