Anton Bruckner International School is in Linz, Upper Austria, and offers an IB-based international education. It is the only school in Upper Austria authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). ABIS is a Candidate School for the IB Diploma Programme, pursuing authorization as an IB World School. ABIS has been authorised to offer PYP since May 2014 and MYP since January 2021.
ABIS Parent Association welcomes you and your children to the school year 2023/24. Its purpose is to support the school's educational goals, raise funds for projects and equipment, and provide a social and supportive environment for Austrian and international families to build a spirit of community. PA Teams include Welcome to PA Team, Special Events Team, Healthy Snack Team, Fruit Basket Team, D.O.G.S (Dads Of Great Students), and Paper Wolves, organizing fundraising and community events. Anton Bruckner International School (ABIS) is located within the Bruckner Tower in Linz, providing a modern campus setting in Upper Austria's tallest building. As the only institution in the region authorized for the IB Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) programs, ABIS serves over 380 students from more than 50 different countries. The school is currently a candidate for the IB Diploma Programme (DP), planning to enroll its first cohort in 2026/27. Instruction is delivered in English, complemented by specialized German language streams for both native and additional language learners. A unique feature of the school is its "Service as Action" program, which encourages students to apply their classroom learning to local and global community initiatives. Additionally, the school supports linguistic diversity through after-school mother-tongue classes in several languages. Its central location ensures excellent accessibility via the city’s public tram and bus networks for day students.
