Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

Plan collaborative and creative learning spaces for up to 600 students. A multi-floor learning commons provides areas for individualized learning, a library with digital resources, and pull-out rooms for non-native English speakers and students with learning challenges. Labs and makerspaces will support science, engineering, technology, and creative arts learning. An athletics facility includes a gymnasium and outdoor sports areas, including a large soccer field and outdoor basketball courts, with a running track on the roof of the main building. A performing arts space provides a stage, dressing rooms, and music practice rooms for drama productions, concerts, chapel events, and school assemblies, and spaces for spiritual formation support worship and instruction.

Sports Facilities

An athletics facility includes a gymnasium and outdoor sports area to support physical education and athletic programs. A large soccer field and outdoor basketball courts are part of the campus. A running track is located on the roof of the main building. These facilities are designed to host competitions and after-school activities.

Academic Facilities

Labs and makerspaces are designed for science, engineering, technology, and creative arts learning. The building includes science labs and makerspaces integrated into the design to support multidisciplinary, hands-on learning. A library with digital resources, dedicated study areas, and pull-out rooms for non-native English speakers and students with learning challenges supports literacy and learning. Classrooms, computer labs, learning commons, and administrative offices are part of the academic facilities. Counseling offices and spiritual formation offices support student well-being and growth.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Chapel events, school events, and class trips are part of student life. Performing arts spaces support drama productions, concerts, and school assemblies outside class time. A recording studio and pottery space with a kiln support arts and creative projects. Makerspaces and learning spaces encourage projects beyond the classroom. Athletics facilities support after-school sports and competitions.

International Christian School of Vienna is a private international Christian school in Austria with Öffentlichkeitsrecht status. It is accredited by ACSI and MSA and is an IB World School offering an American curriculum from age 5 through Grade 12 inclusive, with the IB Diploma Programme option for Grades 11–12. The curriculum is aligned with the CCSS, NGSS, and AERO to prepare students for US, Austrian, and international university study. The school serves about 320 students from more than 65 nationalities and is pursuing a state of the art facility to accommodate 500–600 students. The campus includes four science labs, laboratories and makerspaces, a library with digital resources, and learning commons with pullout rooms for nonnative English speakers and learners with challenges. Athletics facilities comprise a gymnasium, outdoor fields, a rooftop track, and spaces for afterschool sports. A performing arts space, recording studio, and pottery area support drama, music, and visual arts.
