International School Innsbruck is an IB World School integrated within Akademisches Gymnasium Innsbruck in Austria, serving students aged 10 to 18. The school delivers bilingual teaching in English and German and pursues two parallel curricula: the Austrian National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in two years, with English as a parallel instructional language and certain subjects taught bilingually by native English-speaking staff. Two learning streams guide studies, with language tracks that include English, Latin, French, Ancient Greek, Spanish and Italian, depending on the stream and year. The campus features a modern building with advanced classrooms and dedicated sports halls, and management continually upgrades facilities. The typical day starts at 7:55 am for the Middle Years College; lessons are 50 minutes with 5-minute breaks between classes and a 15-minute break after the third period. Most Middle Years students finish around 1:30 pm; Senior Years timetables vary by subject choices.
International School Innsbruck teaches Australian Curriculum, IB (DP) for students aged 10 to 18.
Two learning streams with a parallel curriculum model. In the final two years, students study the Austrian National Curriculum alongside the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. English is a parallel instructional language, with some subjects taught bilingually by native English-speaking staff. Language tracks include Stream 1: Year 1 English; Year 3 French; Year 5 Latin; from Year 6 Spanish or Italian as electives. Stream 2: Year 1 English; Year 3 Latin; from Year 5 a choice from Ancient Greek, French or Italian; from Year 6 Spanish or Italian as electives.
In the final year, students have the option to graduate from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme alongside the Austrian Matura.
The international class is open to all primary school graduates with talented language skills.
The school provides school psychological counseling for pupils, parents and teachers to support social and emotional issues such as exam anxiety, problems in class, overload, bullying, and individual crises. After an initial consultation, solutions are developed and support is provided to implement the recommended measures, including coordination with external experts.
International School Innsbruck provides further support classes for international students.
In the classes of the International School, English is integrated into various subjects. This occurs through interaction with native English-speaking staff who are present year-round and international students enrolled in the Gymnasium.
School psychological counseling supports mental wellbeing and addresses social and emotional issues, exam anxiety and crises. The service is available to pupils, parents and teachers, with initial consultation and follow-up support; further expertise can be coordinated as needed.
ISI has a Complaints & Communications Policy that ensures concerns are addressed transparently, confidentially and promptly. It also includes data protection and confidentiality provisions.

For admission to Year 1 classes in the 2026/27 school year, registration in person is required at the AGI office on the first floor during the registration period from Monday, 16 February 2026 through Friday, 27 February 2026. The registration period is held at the AGI office, and the daily times are posted for each day. Staff are available for a prior consultation; arrange an appointment through the office at +43 50902-8010. Bring the documents listed below when you register.
2. Please bring: Year 3 Report (Original and Copy); Year 4 Semester Report (Original and Copy); Proof of the child's residency from your local city or council (ZMR); and a completed registration form. Having both originals and copies helps expedite the process, and ensure documents are up to date and legible. If you wish to speak with staff before registration, contact the office to arrange an appointment.
