The school offers Austrian Matura and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. The CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) programme is part of the IB Diploma and enables students to gain new experiences and broaden horizons. Students can learn up to three languages and may choose elective subjects in the final two years of the IB Diploma. English immersion supports an international, cosmopolitan education.
Drama and Theater Arts classes expand students' personal boundaries through theatrical exercises, rehearsals, and performances. The program supports language learning and fosters confident public presentation and teamwork. In the early years, students participate in multiple theater productions, and in later years they direct and design pieces, culminating in IB theatre coursework with auditions, research, and practical projects. The program emphasizes English-language theatre and cross-age collaboration.
LISA is an English-immersion school; language policy supports up to three languages and includes an English-language curriculum with optional German for non-native speakers. Students study an academic language (Language A) and one or two foreign languages; German, English, or IB mother-tongue languages can serve as Language A. There is a Mother Tongue Programme with many available languages and associated fees; families may arrange tutoring for languages not taught at school. LISA offers trips to Malta, Ireland, France, Spain, Japan, and South Africa.
Extracurricular events include drama performances from Year 1 onward, a Spring Gala with music, theatre and science demonstrations, an Arts Exhibition of IB Visual Arts works, and a Walkathon where each lap raises donations for a charity. The LISA Summer event features music, sports, and good food, and external experts lead workshops such as African Dance and Japanese tea. A regular LISA Tea for parents provides a social gathering for the school community.
The LISA Support Association provides a platform for parents to exchange views and promote cultural, sporting and social projects, and funds the international education of LISA students. By paying the annual membership fee, parents become members and are invited to participate in association activities and meetings.
The school offers Austrian Matura or the IB Diploma; in the IB Diploma programme the last two years include elective subjects. The drama program includes leadership opportunities, with older students directing and designing productions and auditions that apply to theatre and to interviews and presentations. The CAS programme offers opportunities to undertake creativity, activity, and service experiences to broaden horizons.
Drama helps students develop self-confidence by presenting on stage and expressing themselves, with younger students learning to present and grow their vocabulary. School events like the Walkathon promote physical activity and charitable engagement, while the LISA Summer event combines music, sport, and social time. The combination of drama, multilingual learning, and international experiences supports the overall well-being and personal development of students.
