The campus is located in Vienna's 22nd district and is accessible via the city subway. A virtual tour lets visitors explore the premises and facilities. The Primary and Secondary Library offers 55,000 items, 850 square metres of learning space and seating for 160. The sport facilities cover 2,000 square metres with five gymnasia and a competition-size basketball court, a playing field and running track, a Cycling & Running Trail with a workout station, table tennis and a Panther Sports Dome, plus a multi-purpose indoor hall; energy use is managed with a central LED system. The Arts facilities include seven music rooms, three art studios, a 220-seat theatre and an outdoor theatre arena. Science and Design facilities include a Food Technology Centre, three Design Laboratories, seven Science Laboratories, two Product Design Studios and four Garden Classrooms, with magnetic walls, WIFI and air conditioning, and ECO heating controls; health and security provisions include a nurse on campus at all times, a school doctor visiting three times a week, and security measures such as visitor checks and CCTV.
Sport facilities include an all-weather area of 2,000 square metres with five gymnasia featuring competition-size basketball courts, a playing field and running track. A Cycling & Running Trail with a workout station, table tennis and an arboretum is housed in the Panther Sports Dome, and a multi-purpose indoor hall supports PE lessons and after-school activities. Energy efficiency is supported by a central LED lighting system.
Science and Design facilities include a Food Technology Centre, three Design Laboratories, seven Science Laboratories, two Product Design Studios and four Garden Classrooms, with magnetic walls, WIFI and air conditioning, and ECO heating controls. They provide spaces and equipment to support hands-on inquiry across science, technology and design disciplines.
Extra-curricular activities include After School Activities and an Extended Day Programme. Arts enrichment is provided through Performing Arts facilities including seven music rooms, three art studios and a 220-seat theatre. Competitive Sports are offered as part of VIS's programme. The Mother Tongue Programme supports home-language learning.
Vienna International School (VIS) is an IB World School in Austria serving ages 3–18. The Primary School delivers the IB PYP in English; German is taught from age five, and Mother Tongue and PAL programmes support over 20 languages. In Secondary, VIS offers the IB MYP for Grades 6–10 and the IB DP for Grades 11–12. The DP may be taken as the VIS Diploma with IB courses or as the IB Diploma, with Austrian Matura Equivalence optional, and includes Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS.
