Founded in 1967, Antwerp International School (AIS) has a long tradition of excellence. AIS has been a multicultural learning environment since 1967. AIS offers the IB with the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme (PYP, MYP, DP). With 40 nationalities represented, AIS provides a holistic and personalised approach to teaching. AIS endorses the IB Learner Profile and NEASC ACE Learning Principles.

AIS offers a wide range of athletic, artistic and social learning opportunities that foster emotional, social and physical well-being. Voorleesweek is celebrated at AIS to share the love of reading between students. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award at AIS began in October 2015 with 27 students; since then students have undertaken adventurous journeys in various locations.
All parents are part of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO, staff and management work together to enrich the school experience; many parents volunteer in the classroom, organise social events or assist our sports and theatre departments. The Booster Club supports the athletic programme by running the concessions stand and funding special equipment; the group is committed to raising school spirit and involvement of students and parents. The Costume Department comprises parent volunteers who sew costumes and assist with set design for AIS theatre productions.
Antwerp International School is an IB World School in Belgium serving PreSchool to Grade 12, with 330 students from 40 nationalities and a 7:1 student‑to‑faculty ratio. The school offers the IB continuum: PYP, MYP and DP. English is the language of instruction; from Grade 6, four lessons per week are taught in French. AIS provides Mother Tongue instruction for English and Dutch from Starter to Grade 12; German Mother Tongue from Grade 1; French Mother Tongue from Grade 6, with Spanish Ab Initio in the DP. The campus features the STEMzone, a €2+ million facility with science labs, fabrication labs, makerspaces, mathematics spaces and IT areas. AIS has a Fine Arts Centre, a 350‑seat theatre and multiple music rooms; DP Visual Arts Exhibition and musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Grease and Fiddler on the Roof. The school is NEASC and CIS accredited and offers a broad co‑curricular programme, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award and after‑school activities.
