Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. The school accepts new enrolments year‑round and there are no prerequisites for admission. The school invites you to contact ISG to arrange a visit (in‑person or virtual) and discuss enrolment; the team will send you the necessary forms. 2. After an in‑person or virtual meeting, if you decide ISG is the right place for your child(ren), the school asks that you complete an Enrolment Contract and Pupil Application form. Payment of the Registration Fee will secure a place for your child(ren) in their respective class. 3. The Registration Fee is a one‑time, non‑refundable fee paid per family and must be paid before the student begins school; the fee for 2025/2026 is €950. 4. To prepare for a successful start, the school will send a Welcome Guide with practical information about starting school, and before the start of each school year there is an Open Afternoon to meet teachers, children and other parents; Pre‑Primary children may have transition days. 5. If you have questions, contact ISG to discuss enrolment and receive the necessary forms.
International School Ghent (ISG) is a private, non-profit international school serving ages 2 to 16. The curriculum combines IPC in the Primary years and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in the ISG+ Secondary, with Diploma Programme planned. Pre-Primary is split into Lower and Upper Pre-Primary (2.5–4 and 4–5.5 years), using IPC-based topics to develop language, numeracy, craft, and expressive arts. In Primary, learners explore cross-curricular IPC themes with specialist Dutch, sport, swimming, and music teachers, plus a learning support programme; there is no English-language entry test, and students with limited English receive targeted support. In Secondary, ISG+ began in 2023 with MYP Years 2–4 (Years 7–9), progressing to full MYP in 2026 (Year 10, MYP Year 5). The campus is next to Ghent University and shares facilities in a Secondary building. A sports hall, music and language rooms, an auditorium, and outdoor space support a program, with Ghent University laboratories.
