The profile describes ten attributes: Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Risk-takers, Caring, Open-minded, Principled, Balanced, and Reflective. Education at CIEI is organized around these attributes. Students are encouraged to demonstrate these attributes across learning activities, collaboration, and problem-solving. This IB-based approach supports holistic development and fosters a global perspective.
The school provides support rooms to assist students who require extra help. The building includes dedicated spaces for student support (Salas de apoio). For candidates with special needs, the admissions process requires notice at least five days in advance and a medical report detailing the required adaptations for the assessment. The school's admissions policy reflects attention to individual needs.
Language learning at CIEI includes English, German, and Spanish. English is taught from early childhood through high school. German is taught from the 6th year of EF II through high school. Spanish is taught starting in the first year of high school. The high school program is bilingual.
