Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

From the first steps, a path of discoveries, values and big dreams. From age 3, Colégio Soka do Brasil students begin their journey as citizens of the world in a welcoming, safe, and meaningful environment, where each child is encouraged to explore, question and build values that will accompany them for life. The educational approach values childhood as a precious time of learning and wonder. Activities are carefully designed to respect each learner's abilities, experiences, and curiosity, stimulating observation of the natural world, social life, and the development of essential competencies for the future. The curriculum spans language and communication, logical reasoning, nature and society, English, Japanese language and culture, life skills, body expression and culture maker. Students may enroll in the integral program and in extracurricular activities such as soccer, dance/ballet, and violin. In Soka Infantil, educating is caring with affection, teaching with intention and cultivating with love.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is taught as part of the curriculum, alongside Japanese language and culture.

Colégio Soka do Brasil is a private day school in São Paulo that blends Soka Education philosophy with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Since 2018 it has offered the IB DP alongside the Brazilian high school diploma, preparing students for global pathways through multilingual options in English, Japanese and Spanish. The curriculum is BNCC-based in the early years and integrates language, culture, life skills, and the arts, while maintaining a strong bilingual emphasis as students advance toward high school. The campus features a Sustainability Excellence Seal, multimedia classrooms, Chromebooks, a reading room, an art studio, and spaces for body expression and musical education, plus covered multi-sport courts. The school operates UNESCO ASPnet status, international projects and exchanges, a DIG SAT/TOEFL prep course, university admissions advisory, and a Homestay program to host international students.
