All Ensino Médio students complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). The Diploma is a globally recognized pre‑university program that emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and engagement with diverse perspectives. The program at Colégio Suíço-Brasileiro de Curitiba integrates the Brazilian National Curricular Parameters, the Swiss Lehrplan 21, and the IB program in practice. The Diploma includes Theory of Knowledge (TOK), an Extended Essay, and the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) component, and students develop language skills in German, Portuguese, English, and French, with assessments conducted externally. IB students aim to be informed, inquirers, and open-minded, preparing for university study worldwide.
Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) is embedded in the IB program, including weekly arts classes (music, photography, ceramics, painting) and a Week focused on curricular projects. It also includes physical education, community service, and social projects. Students undertake interdisciplinary fieldwork in sciences and geography, and participate in outdoor activities such as climbing, sailing, hiking, and canoeing. The school offers language diplomas (DSD, DELF, Cambridge ESOL) and supports international exchanges; there is an after-school program (Contraturno) available.
Colégio Suíço-Brasileiro de Curitiba is a nonprofit international school serving 800 students aged 2 to 18 from Swiss, German and Brazilian nationalities. The curriculum integrates the Brazilian National Curricular Parameters, the Swiss Lehrplan 21, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Instruction is bilingual in Portuguese and German through Fundamental II, and in Portuguese and English in high school; French and Spanish are offered, with Italian available as extracurricular. The school is recognized and supported by the Swiss government and the Canton of Aargau, with support from Paraná State Department of Education. In addition to the IB Diploma, students complete the Brazilian high school certificate and obtain language certifications. The Diploma includes TOK, Extended Essay, and the CAS component, with assessments externally conducted. Extracurriculars include Robotics and Programming; Band and Swiss School News; Italian courses, Chess, Skating, and Volleyball. The campus features a gymnasium, outdoor spaces, and Week on curricular projects worldwide.
