Multilingual education uses German, Portuguese and English as core languages. French, German and English offer official language diplomas: French DELF; German DSD; English Cambridge ESOL. The IB Programme supports multilingual and intercultural learning.
Multilingual education is implemented, with instruction primarily in German, Portuguese and English. The curriculum integrates the Brazilian, Swiss (Lehrplan 21), and the IB Diploma Programme. Team Teaching is used to support individualized learning, and the Churermodell is applied in Elementary I.
Colégio Suíço-Brasileiro de Curitiba is a nonprofit international school serving 800 students aged 2 to 18 from Swiss, German and Brazilian nationalities. The curriculum integrates the Brazilian National Curricular Parameters, the Swiss Lehrplan 21, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Instruction is bilingual in Portuguese and German through Fundamental II, and in Portuguese and English in high school; French and Spanish are offered, with Italian available as extracurricular. The school is recognized and supported by the Swiss government and the Canton of Aargau, with support from Paraná State Department of Education. In addition to the IB Diploma, students complete the Brazilian high school certificate and obtain language certifications. The Diploma includes TOK, Extended Essay, and the CAS component, with assessments externally conducted. Extracurriculars include Robotics and Programming; Band and Swiss School News; Italian courses, Chess, Skating, and Volleyball. The campus features a gymnasium, outdoor spaces, and Week on curricular projects worldwide.
