The English National Curriculum provides the starting point for the curriculum, with the Brazilian curriculum fully implemented to meet national standards. The programme is designed to develop competence in both languages, ensuring a high level of competency and confidence in English and Portuguese. Portuguese is supported through Portuguese as Additional Language (PAL), which offers targeted language support.
BSB uses a bilingual immersion process to develop language proficiency in English and Portuguese. Students engage with both languages across the curriculum, allowing language development to occur in context. The immersion approach supports development of language skills alongside academic learning and reflects the site's emphasis on bilingual education.
