Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Mentors know their pupils exceptionally well and form strong, positive relationships with parents, ensuring pupil wellbeing is a priority. PSHE supports wellbeing by helping pupils develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to make informed decisions, manage relationships, and take responsibility for their own wellbeing.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English as an Additional Language (EAL) is a mandatory programme for non-native English speakers in both Primary and Secondary phases, identified after an initial assessment. The programme provides structured language support focused on listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, aligned with the English National Curriculum to enable access across all subjects.

Mental Wellbeing

PSHE develops the knowledge, understanding and skills required to make informed decisions, manage relationships, and take responsibility for wellbeing. Physical Education promotes psychological wellbeing, and mentors prioritise pupil wellbeing in the school context.

Safeguarding

The school has a Child Protection Policy and provides safeguarding messaging, including online safety guidance.
