All boarding students are members of Winnipeg Winter Club with access to tennis, swimming, and fitness equipment. Weekends offer optional activities such as skating or rock climbing.
The school has a uniform policy and students wear the proper uniform during school hours. Top Marks is the official supplier and a Nearly New Uniform Store is available. Guidelines specify kilts and tunics lengths, neat shirts, ties worn with a white blouse, natural hair color, conservative makeup, and appropriate shoes; repeated uniform infractions may result in loss of free time.
Aramark Canada provides Balmoral Hall's dining program. The program features elevated self‑service stations with rotating hot items and vegetarian, vegan, and gluten‑free options; menus emphasize local sourcing and nutrition through the Eat Well program.
Pupils are grouped into houses: Braemar, Craig Gowan, and Glen Gairn. Hair accessories can match house colours: navy blue for Braemar, yellow for Craig Gowan, and red for Glen Gairn.
Governance is provided by a Board of Governors. Balmoral Hall is a nondenominational independent day and boarding school and a registered charity; it holds accreditation from Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).
