Billing schedule and payment terms
- Three payment options are offered:
- Option A — Single payment: a single annual payment is eligible for a 1.5% discount when paid by the single‑payment deadline (deadline noted as 15 February; for new students the single‑payment deadline is 1 March).
- Option B — Three‑instalment plan: tuition is split into three instalments (the instalment amounts are shown above for each year group).
- Option C — Eleven‑instalment plan: tuition is split into 11 monthly payments (monthly amounts are shown above).
- Credit‑card administrative surcharge: 2.25% applies if paying by credit card.
- Monthly‑plan administrative fee: 1.8% administration charge applies to the 11‑monthly instalment option; if the 11 monthly instalments are paid by credit card both the 1.8% and the 2.25% card surcharge apply.
- Payment methods accepted for domestic payments include bank transfer (use the school‑issued student identification number as the account reference) and pre‑authorized automatic withdrawal; international payments are accepted via the school's Flywire payment portal. Flywire supports local payment methods and foreign exchange handling for international payers.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not applicable. TFS operates as day campuses (Toronto and West); there are no boarding/residential fees listed.
Other costs and recurring charges
- Uniforms and school clothing: sold through the school‑operated TFS Shop (uniform and selected school supplies/spirit wear are available for purchase).
- Optional accident insurance (IAP Kids Plus) is available for purchase; the school also strongly recommends optional Tuition Refund Insurance (premiums shown in the fee tables above are the tuition‑refund insurance amounts).
- Before‑ and after‑school care: disengagement and prorated charges apply; a specific disengagement fee of CAD 125 plus any usage fees is shown for certain changes to before/after school care arrangements.
Refunds and withdrawal (désengagement) policy
- Initial registration fee (new students): 100% non‑refundable at all times.
- Tuition refund schedule (amounts payable to the school when written withdrawal notice is received):
- From registration up to 30 April: 25% of total tuition.
- From 1 May to 30 June: 35% of total tuition.
- From 1 July up to 31 July: 65% of total tuition.
- From 1 August up to the day before classes start: 80% of total tuition.
- Withdrawal or dismissal from the first day of classes onward: 100% of total tuition.
- For before/after‑school care: specific disengagement rules apply (see the stated CAD 125 plus usage‑fees charge for certain cases). Optional Tuition Refund Insurance is recommended to cover unforeseen withdrawal scenarios.
Fee payment options (practical details)
- Domestic payers: bank transfer to the school's account using the student identification number supplied by the school; pre‑authorized debit (automatic withdrawal) is accepted.
- International payers: use the Flywire international payment portal (the school uses Flywire to accept and reconcile international payments).
- Credit card payments are accepted but incur a 2.25% administrative card fee; the 11‑month plan carries an additional 1.8% administration charge (both apply if 11 monthly instalments are paid by card).
- For any payment, families are instructed to notify the Admissions/Business Office after making transfers so receipt can be confirmed.

The Toronto French School (Canada's International School) is a two-campus, bilingual school delivering France and Ontario curricula within the International Baccalaureate framework. Serving students from age two to 18, TFS offers the Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and Diploma Program, with a bilingual IB Diploma option. French curriculum has been recognized by the French Ministry of Education since 1984 and is taught from Jardin d'éveil through Grade 9. The school leads to the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), including the Advanced Bilingual IB Diploma. Brevet examinations are offered; in 2024, 97 students participated with a 100% pass rate. TFS operates on two campuses: Toronto Campus at 306 Lawrence Avenue East and Mississauga's West Campus.
