Located in the Altadore neighborhood, Lycée international de Calgary offers a modern, vibrant learning environment. The campus has undergone major upgrades, including a redesigned west field and basketball court and new outdoor spaces for the Maternelle, plus a renovated Maternelle building. Classrooms are modern, bilingual spaces with natural light, ergonomic furniture, and integrated technology. The campus features an indoor climbing wall and a gymnasium that support physical education and team sports. The library provides a dedicated space for reading and research, and outdoor areas include a sports field and a newly built maternelle playground.
The gymnasium is a versatile sports facility that supports physical education, team sports, and wellness, accommodating activities such as soccer, basketball, and pickleball. The indoor climbing wall is a 36‑ft tall climbing surface with 10 top ropes and six auto‑belay devices, supervised by qualified staff and used for PE and clubs. Outdoor facilities include brand‑new play areas and a sports field, plus a maternelle playground. Phoenix Athletics offers competitive teams for Grades 7–12 in badminton, basketball, golf, soccer, volleyball, cross‑country, and track & field. AEFE–UNSS Sports League provides North American tournaments for students, expanding opportunities beyond the local level.
Our classrooms are modern, flexible, bilingual spaces with natural light, ergonomic furniture, and modern technology that support active, bilingual learning in French and English for students of all ages. The spaces are designed to promote teamwork and inquiry‑based learning with modular tables and open areas. The school provides a bilingual library as a resource for reading, research, and discovery. These facilities support learning across preschool through high school in a bilingual setting.
Clubs run after school from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., with offerings including robotics, music, art, dance, engineering, media arts, baking, climbing, karate, and sports; offerings change each trimester. Registration for clubs occurs each trimester, and participation can be coordinated with other Lycée programs. Athletics include Phoenix Athletics for Grades 7–12 with teams in badminton, basketball, golf, soccer, volleyball, cross‑country, and track & field, with competitions through CISAA. AEFE–UNSS Sports League provides North American tournaments for students. Break Week and Summer Day Camps for Preschool to Grade 5 offer activities such as climbing, arts and crafts, field trips, and themed weeks.
The Lycée international de Calgary offers a dual-curriculum education for preschool through Grade 12, combining the French Ministry of National Education program with Alberta Education. It is an independent bilingual school and AEFE member in the Altadore neighbourhood. Students study in French and English, and in high school earn both the French Baccalaureate and the Alberta High School Diploma, enabling pathways to Canadian and international tertiary study. The school began in 1966 as Lycée Louis Pasteur and joined AEFE in 1990; it adopted its current name in 2021. A new kindergarten building with eight classrooms and a gym opened in January 2025. Facilities include modern bilingual classrooms, a bilingual library, an indoor climbing wall, a gym, a sports field, and a renovated maternelle building. The International Program welcomes students from France and AEFE schools, with hosting arranged through the Canada Homestay Network. Partnerships with Francophone institutions connect Calgary's Francophone community.
