Meadowridge School is located in Maple Ridge, BC, about 60 minutes outside Vancouver and is surrounded by nature and community. The campus spans 35 acres and includes an ecological area and a library with over 47,000 resources. It features The Gardens and Gunning Greenhouse, as well as dedicated spaces such as a Design Lab, PYP Wing, MYP Music Room, and PYP Music Room. The arts and sciences are supported by Junior and Senior Art Studios, North Forest outdoor space, and an Early Learning Centre. Playgrounds, an Art Gallery, and a 360° virtual tour are also part of the campus.
To support athletes, Meadowridge has two sports fields, a throwing circle and track facility, a fitness room, and a double gymnasium. The school uses two 24-passenger buses for transporting students to athletic events and activities. Students can join athletics clubs as early as Kindergarten and athletic teams as early as Grade 1. The program emphasizes fitness, skill development, and sportsmanship.
The campus includes a library with over 47,000 resources. It features a Design Lab, a PYP Wing, a MYP Music Room, and a PYP Music Room to support learning across grades. Visual arts are supported by Junior Art Studio and Senior Art Studio spaces. Outdoor and horticultural learning spaces include The Gardens, the Gunning Greenhouse, and the North Forest; the Early Learning Centre serves the youngest students.
There is a club or team for virtually every area of interest, with opportunities for students from Kindergarten to Grade 10. Kindergarten to Grade 5 Elementary Clubs include Choir, STEAM Club, Robotics, Golf, Fencing, Art and Storytelling, Musical, Reading Link, Forest Adventures, Friendship Games, Cross Country, and Track and Field. Grade 6 to 10 CAS (Creativity, Activity, and Service) Clubs include Robotics (FLL), Debate, Model United Nations, Chess, Math Competition, Japanese, Mandarin, Photography, Band, Yoga, Mindful Gardening, Mountain Biking, and more. Students sign up for two clubs each term, with terms lasting about 10 weeks across three terms per year; some clubs are limited to certain grade levels. Some CAS clubs extend into after-school time or weekends and may involve conferences, competitions, and events, with Grade 11–12 students taking leadership roles alongside a teacher supervisor.
Meadowridge School is an independent, coeducational IB World School in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, offering the International Baccalaureate Continuum from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12, alongside the Canadian curriculum. English is the language of instruction, with Language Acquisition classes introducing French and Spanish, and additional language options increasingly integrated across grades.
