Meadowridge has a dedicated Social Emotional Counselling team that supports students' mental health and well-being in a safe, supportive environment. The team connects with students individually and in groups, leads classroom lessons, and collaborates with staff and families to foster a caring and inclusive school community. The counsellors bring diverse approaches—developmental, cultural, and therapeutic—to meet students where they are. Ms. Jaimi Gilmore, RCC, and Ms. Ashley Gossen, RCC, are the school's Social Emotional Counsellors.
Meadowridge hosts a multicultural community with staff and students from almost 40 countries, speaking more than 18 languages in addition to English. The Meadowridge Library supports home language learning and multilingual engagement as part of its international-minded approach. French and Spanish are offered as additional languages of study.
Meadowridge supports mental wellbeing through its Social Emotional Counselling program, providing direct student support, classroom-based services, and collaboration with families and staff to promote resilience and healthy relationships.
Safeguarding is supported by staff training on best practices for safeguarding children, conducted every two years; the school also engages in safeguarding-related awareness programs to protect students.
