Annual tuition and consolidated fees (2026–27) — fees per year group

- Preschool (age 3) to Grade 1 — Tuition: CAD 30,290; Consolidated fees: CAD 690.
- Grade 2 & 3 — Tuition: CAD 30,290; Consolidated fees: CAD 960.
- Grades 4 & 5 — Tuition: CAD 30,290; Consolidated fees: CAD 1,300.
- Grade 6 — Tuition: CAD 33,370; Consolidated fees: CAD 1,970.
- Grades 7–9 — Tuition: CAD 33,370; Consolidated fees: CAD 2,170.
- Grade 10 — Tuition: CAD 33,370; Consolidated fees: CAD 2,720.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- New students: application fee, New Student Fee (CAD 3,000) and the new‑student first instalment (CAD 4,000) are due on acceptance.
- Standard invoicing (returning families and continuing students): a non‑refundable tuition deposit is invoiced in late winter and the balance of fees is invoiced for payment in early summer (deposit due in February, balance due in June as an example of the established schedule).
- Monthly payment plan: tuition and consolidated fees (less the deposit) may be payable by a monthly instalment plan. Example structure used in the school's payment authorisation forms: payments spread over 10 monthly instalments beginning in July; an administration fee is charged monthly and a financing fee is charged with the initial payment when the monthly plan is selected. Specific monthly instalment amounts and the timing of instalments are published on the school's payment authorisation form/invoice.
- Overdue accounts: interest is charged on outstanding fees (example policy item: 2% per month / 24% per annum on overdue balances).

Boarding

- Boarding is not applicable. Mulgrave is an independent day school.

Other charges and routine additional costs

- Consolidated fees cover technology supplies, textbooks, yearbooks, curriculum‑based field trips and grade camps; for some grades the consolidated fee also includes local Global Experience (GEx) activities.
- Optional/additional costs may include co‑curricular program fees, optional trips, musical instrument rental or purchases, after‑school care, and some elective program fees. Bus transportation and cafeteria services are additional where applicable; lunches are included for PK3 and PK4.
- Mandarin A fee: a separate, non‑refundable programme fee applies for Mandarin A where applicable.
- Security deposit: a refundable security deposit of CAD 500 covers athletic uniform deposits and library fees for students in Grade 3 and up; the deposit is returned in full less any charges when the student graduates.
- School‑issued devices: devices (iPads or laptops, depending on grade level) are provided to students in Grade 2 and up; families do not need to supply these devices. Technology specifications and any optional computer purchase programs are communicated by the school.
- Uniforms: uniforms are required and are available from the school's approved supplier; gently used uniform options may be available through the parent volunteer store.

Sibling discounts and international student charges

- Sibling discounts: the school applies tuition discounts for additional enrolled children (examples shown in current admissions material).
- International / non‑resident student fee: an additional international/non‑resident fee is charged for K–12 students who are in Canada on a student visa or who do not qualify for the Province of British Columbia grant; for 2026–27 this additional charge is CAD 7,000 and is billed with the balance of fees.

Refund information and penalties

- Certain fees are non‑refundable: the New Student Fee, tuition deposit and consolidated fees are non‑refundable.
- Withdrawal refunds: withdrawal before December 31 of the academic year incurs a CAD 5,000 penalty; the refundable portion (after deducting the penalty and any non‑refundable items) is prorated according to the school's published refund policy. No refund is provided for withdrawals after December 31, except in specified medically certified circumstances where a prorated refund of unused fees may apply.
- Refundable family deposit: a refundable family deposit is required of all new families; the amount stated in the school's current 2026–27 materials is CAD 25,000 per family and that deposit is returned in the fall after the last child from the family no longer attends.

Fee payment options and practical notes on payment methods

- Accepted payment methods (examples shown in the school's fee schedules): cash, personal cheque, or electronic fund transfer (EFT) through your financial institution. A monthly payment plan and pre‑authorised debit arrangements are available; specific administrative and financing fees apply to instalment plans.

Other exam/subject fees

- Grade 12 IB subject/exam fees are charged separately by the International Baccalaureate Organisation; the fee depends on the number of subjects taken and for a full diploma cohort (including TOK, EE and CAS) is approximately CAD 1,400 (charged in addition to Mulgrave tuition and consolidated fees).

Mulgrave School is a private day school in Canada offering the International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) and Canadian Curriculum. The school serves ages 3 to 18, with Early Years (PK3–K), Junior School (1–5), Middle School (6–9), and Senior School (10–12). DP offers English, Chinese, Persian*, and French*. Mulgrave emphasizes inquiry-based, student-centred learning that develops critical thinking, global understanding, and communication. Facilities cover more than 22,000 square metres of space, with libraries, a performance theatre and a black box studio, multiple gyms, a climbing centre, a turf field, specialist art and design studios, science laboratories, a film studio, and a cafeteria.
