Opened in 2000 in South Delta, Southpointe Academy is an independent K–12 school. It offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum Programme with authorization for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Kindergarten to Grade 5, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Grades 6 to 10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11 and 12. It is Delta's only school—and one of few in Canada—to offer all three IB programmes from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025.
Southpointe fosters a connected K–12 community with cross‑grade programs such as Buddy Programs, Island Teams, and Student Council. Family and school events include Grandparents' Tea and Island Day, as well as a Multicultural Egg Hunt. The Titan Alumni Society connects graduates through a global network that supports mentorship, professional growth, and ongoing engagement with Southpointe.
Our Parent Volunteers bring warmth, positivity, and enthusiasm that enrich the spirit of Southpointe. They support in classrooms, join field trips, help in The Hodgins Library, organize the Gill Family Lost & Found, prepare appreciation lunches, and plan exciting community events. Volunteer involvement includes the Annual Southpointe Gala, Welcome Back BBQ, Used Uniform Sales, Faculty & Staff Appreciation, Class Parents, Library Volunteers, Classroom & Field Trip Volunteers, Community Events, and Volunteer Team Support. Graduating students' families stay connected and continue to give back as volunteers.
