Billing schedule and payment terms (billing patterns and options previously used by the school)
- The school uses an initial tuition payment followed by payment-plan options. Communications and past published tuition fee schedules show a required first tuition payment of CAD 3,000 per child with a due date of February 15. Accepted methods for the first tuition payment include credit card (no admin fee for the first payment), e-transfer to finance@stratfordhall.ca, wire transfer, cheque payable to Stratford Hall, and WeChat. Families also have an option to pay in full.
- Past detailed tuition-fee schedules show a full-payment option (with a small percentage discount) or a multi-installment plan where the remaining balance after the initial payment is split into equal monthly installments (example schedule for an earlier year listed nine equal monthly installments with specified payment dates). These installment amounts and dates have been used in the school's published fee schedules. Specific installment amounts and exact invoice dates vary by academic year and by grade level.
Withdrawal and refund terms (published fee-schedule rules used for billing and refunds)
- Application, registration and enrollment fees are non-refundable.
- A published tuition-fee schedule used by the school sets precise withdrawal liabilities depending on the withdrawal date; for example, an earlier published schedule (2024–25) specified a sliding liability where no tuition was owed if withdrawing before February 15, partial liability applied for withdrawals between February 16 and later dates, and full tuition could be charged for late withdrawals. Exact withdrawal dates and percentages are set in the school's tuition-fee schedule and continuous-enrolment terms for the applicable year.
Boarding fees
- Stratford Hall is a day school and does not charge boarding fees.
Other mandatory or common additional costs
- Uniforms: A formal and an academic uniform are required; uniform items (blazers, sweaters, shirts, ties, tartan kilts/tunics, performance/house shirts, tracksuits and specific footwear) are supplied through the school's uniform supplier and online store (InSchoolwear; school code: shvs). Families purchase uniform items directly from the supplier.
- School bus service: Daily bus service is available on specified routes. Bus cost is CAD 950 per year each way for the first child and CAD 750 per year per sibling. After-school care is included for Kindergarten to Grade 7 students who use the afternoon bus. Bus fees are non-refundable; if service is cancelled the difference is applied to the family's school account. Annual registration for bus service is required.
- Textbooks, core learning resources, field trips, co-curricular activities and the Grade 12 Graduation Fee are included in tuition for the applicable grades; some optional trips, premium after-school activities, specialty courses or outside-supplier services may incur additional charges billed separately.
Refunds and penalties (summary)
- Application, new-student registration and enrollment fees are non-refundable. Bus payments are non-refundable. Withdrawal liability for tuition follows the school's published withdrawal schedule for the applicable year; earlier published schedules set tiered liabilities depending on the withdrawal date (no tuition owed if withdrawing before the specified early deadline, escalating to full tuition if withdrawing after the academic year begins). Parents/guardians must notify the school in writing to initiate withdrawal and determine the applicable financial liability.
Fee payment options and how payments are processed
- Accepted payment methods for tuition and fees (as set out in the school's published payment guidance) include credit card (first tuition payment accepted without an admin fee in published communications), e-transfer to finance@stratfordhall.ca, wire transfer (include student name in wire details), cheque payable to Stratford Hall, and WeChat for certain payments. Pre-authorized debit (PAD) has not been accepted for the first tuition payment in recent published guidance; families may contact the school finance office for the option to pay in full or to arrange a payment plan for the remaining balance.
