Stratford Hall is an independent K–12 IB World School on a city block in Vancouver, BC. The campus comprises three buildings and houses facilities for IB programmes across the full continuum. The two gymnasiums provide large-scale physical education and athletic spaces, while the Junior School Library and Senior School Library offer dedicated learning resources. The IDEA Lab provides a cross‑grade space for innovation, design, engineering and STEM. The campus emphasizes sustainability with recycling streams across the buildings, a green waste composter on the MYP rooftop, and planned solar panels, and offers after‑school care, camps, and extensive co‑curricular spaces to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Two full‑sized gymnasiums with fitness facilities support physical education and athletics. The athletic program includes interscholastic competition through the Independent School Elementary Association (ISEA) against other independent schools in Vancouver and Victoria. Sports offered across seasons include Fall soccer and volleyball, Winter basketball, cross country and swimming, and Spring ultimate, badminton and track and field, with programs spanning Junior to Senior levels.
The school teaches the International Baccalaureate Continuum: Primary Years Programme (PYP) Kindergarten–Grade 5, Middle Years Programme (MYP) Grade 6–10, and Diploma Programme (DP) Grade 11–12. The Junior School Library and Senior School Library provide catalogues and librarian support, with databases and subscriptions to assist research and learning. The Junior School Library offers resources such as BrainPOP, Tumble Book Library and Design Thinking materials, while the Senior School Library maintains a library catalogue and dedicated staff. Co-Curriculars are student‑led and teacher‑supported, with Leadership, Councils, Student‑Led Clubs and Instructor‑Led Clubs available in the Senior School. Junior School offers after‑school clubs across a range of activities, including Animation, Art, Chess, Coding, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama & Musical Theatre, Mandarin, Printing, Sewing, Sketching, Spanish, STEM and Yoga, among others (varied by year). Stratford Hall runs in‑house and vendor‑led Camps that include outdoor and gym activities as well as arts and crafts. After‑school care is available for Kindergarten to Grade 7, extending the day with structured activities.
