Since its establishment, the International Department has operated Sino-English high school programs; the department launched this cooperation in 2006. AP courses are authorized (2011), Cambridge International Examinations (CAIE) authorized (2013), International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) authorization (2017), and AdvancED accreditation (2017). The main languages of instruction are Chinese and English. The international student program includes a Chinese language program for international students (beginner to advanced) and an academic track teaching Chinese junior and senior high courses; international students take Gaokao and all gain admission to top universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University.
The department emphasizes cross-cultural exchange through clubs and activities; it maintains sister-school relationships with numerous countries and arranges regular teacher-student exchanges. Extracurricular groups include the Jin Fan Wind Band, Jin Fan Dance Troupe, Jin Fan Art and Photography Group, Jin Peng Technology Team (Robotics), Jin Peng Technology Team (Electronics and Information), and Jin Ao Track and Field Team.
Beijing No. 80 High School International Department offers a Sino-English school program established through cooperation begun in 2006. Instruction is delivered in Chinese and English, with an international student program offering a Chinese language track and academic track for junior and senior Chinese. International students take Gaokao and gain admission to universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University. The department has AP authorization (2011), Cambridge International Examinations authorization (2013), IB authorization (2017), and AdvancED accreditation (2017). Extracurricular activities emphasize cross-cultural exchange, with sister-school relationships and regular teacher-student exchanges. Activities include Jin Fan Wind Band, Dance Troupe, Art and Photography, and technology teams in robotics and electronics, plus Jin Ao Track and Field Team. The IB program provides English-instructed courses with subjects including Math Analysis, Biology, Spanish AB Initio, Psychology, Economics, Physics, English B, ENV. AND SOC., Chemistry, English A LIT, Theory of Knowledge, Chinese B, and Chinese A LIT.
