Academic and Intellectual

QAIS offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11–12, with the DP core including the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). The Amerasia Dream Lab provides a robotics and design space where students work on stage design, photography, and student-led art clubs, using tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and other fabrication equipment. The DP framework emphasizes inquiry, research, and global perspectives to prepare students for university study. The school runs an after-school program for Grades K–12 twice per Fall and Spring, offering activities across athletics, arts, robotics, service, personal hobbies, and wellbeing.

Arts and Creative

QAIS provides Music, Visual Arts, Drama, and Film as core elements of its arts education. Amerasia also operates Phoenix Art Academy to nurture artistic skill and prepare students for overseas-art study. The school participates in ISTA festivals, providing international opportunities to engage in performing arts and theatrical production. Cultural and Language

QAIS runs a robust after-school program for Grades K–12, offered twice per year in Fall and Spring. Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is part of the IB Diploma Programme Core. Service as Action is integrated into the MYP and DP, with students developing and carrying out service projects in partnership with mentors. Week Without Walls and other experiential learning trips expand community engagement and global awareness. The Amerasia Global Youth Scholarship supports international scholars to join QAIS and contribute to global citizenship.

Leadership and Professional

QAIS has a Student Council that develops leadership by organizing school activities and service projects. iConnect internships provide hands-on professional experiences for high school students, including mentoring and visits to companies, with activities scheduled on weekends and holidays. Amerasia TEDx brings external leaders and entrepreneurs to the campus to inspire students.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

QAIS promotes healthy lifestyles through a broad sports and athletics program, including volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis, and badminton via the Qingdao International Sports Network. QAIS (Qingdao Amerasia International School) is a private, not-for-profit international school in Qingdao that serves students from 18 months to 18 years old.
